A dark variety that has very good yield potential. It has high resistance to race 0 and race 1 black shank and high resistance to tobacco viruses.
An upright variety with high yields and a high resistance to race 0 and race 1 Black Shank.
A new dark fired hybrid with upright characteristics with high yield potential. It has high resistance to race 0 and race 1 Black Shank.
An upright variety with high yields and a high resistance to race 0 and race 1 Black Shank.
A higher black shank resistance than existing dark tobacco varieties with high resistance to black root rot and wildfire. It has high resistance to race 0 black shank; it has mediumhigh resistance to race 1 black shank but is susceptible to tobacco mosaic virus. KT D17LC produces better dark firecured quality leaf than black shank resistant varieties KT D6LC, KT D8LC, and KT D14LC.
A dark tobacco used by many growers to produce a good yield of high quality tobacco that cures well.
A dark variety that has a smaller leaf than some dark varieties. Level of Resistance: Black Shank, Race 0-Medium: Race I-Medium: Back Root Rot-Medium
A dark tobacco which yields good with high quality. Level of Resistance: Black Shank, Race 0-Medium: Race I-Medium: Black Root Rot-Medium
A dark tobacco which yields good with high quality. Level of Resistance: Black Shank, Race 0-Medium: Race I-Medium: Black Root Rot-Medium
A high quality and high yielding variety. Level of Resistance: Mosaic-High: Fusarium Wilt-Medium: Wildfire-High: Black Root Rot-High.
A dark tobacco used by many growers to produce a good yield of high quality tobacco which cures well.
A mosaic resistant variety. This one-sucker variety has dark green leaves that have a fairly smooth surface and are medium to large in size.
A dark-fired hybrid release. It is an early maturing fire-cured variety with a very prostrate growth habit. It has excellent yield and good quality. PD 7305LC has high resistance to Black Shank Race (0) and moderate resistance to Race (1). It is also resistant to Tobacco Mosaic Virus and Black Root Rot. PD 7305LC may have potential for use in the cigarwrapper style market due to its fairly smooth leaf texture. It may also be a good choice for first cures transplanted in early May for double-crop curing.
A medium maturity fire-cured and aircured hybrid release with resistance to Black Shank Race (0). It has excellent yield and curing characteristics. Leaves are long and drooping. Other characteristics of PD 7309LC are most similar to Narrow Leaf MadoleLC. It can be used as a fire-cured or air-cured variety.
A medium maturity fire-cured and aircured hybrid release with resistance to Black Shank Race (0), Black Root Rot and Tobacco Mosaic Virus. It has excellent yield and curing characteristics. Leaves are long and drooping. PD 7318LC may be a good choice for early transplanted first cures in double-crop, fire-cured tobacco where Black Shank Race (0) may exist.
A medium maturity fire-cured and aircured hybrid release with high resistance to Black Shank Race (0) and low resistance to Black Shank Race (1). It is also resistant to Tobacco Mosaic Virus. It has excellent yield and curing characteristics. PD 7319LC is the first dark variety with high Black Shank Race (0) resistance and at least low Black Shank Race (1) resistance that has performed well as an air-cured variety.
A medium maturity fire-cured and air-cured hybrid release. This is a hybrid between msKY 171 and Narrow Leaf MadoleLC. It has the excellent yield and quality observed on NL Madole and the Black Root Rot and Tobacco Mosaic Virus resistance from KY 171. It performs well as an early transplanted variety (prior to May 15), so it has been a good choice for early transplanted first cures for doublecrop fire curing, provided Black Shank is not a concern.
