Workman Tobacco Seed Inc., located near Murray Ky., was started in 1990 by Terry Workman.  Along with owning and operating the seed company, Terry  & his family operate Workman Farms Inc., with tobacco being a very important part of the operations. We grow several million tobacco plants annually, plus Dark and Burley production tobacco. This operation allows our seed company to see the results of our products from the greenhouse through leaf sales. We understand the value of premium quality seed and our farm experience gives total confidence to our customers in our product.

Workman Tobacco Seed began the seed business to fill a need for better quality seed in our greenhouses. Our company’s growth can be attributed to our expertise in seed production in that we have been able to produce a premium seed and give outstanding service and support to our customers. We have added management and office staff, along with a labor force in order to produce a sufficient quantity of seed to service both the Domestic and International Markets.

We constantly strive for improvement in our product and service, along with leadership in the tobacco industry. Workman Seed has been a leader in the screened and LC varieties and has always used proven technology in pellet material. In addition to greenhouse and field test, and variety comparisons on our farm, all of our seed is inspected and Blue Tag Certified by Kentucky Seed Improvement Association.
